An important update regarding fuel card networks

You may have noticed the appearance of new Caltex branded service stations around Australia. Chevron owns the Caltex brand, and effective 1 Jan 2022 Ampol no longer has exclusive use of the ‘Caltex’ brand and associated product brands here in Australia.  Accordingly, Chevron can now roll-out their own sites under, or licence other third parties to use, the Caltex brand. As these sites are not operated by Ampol or its licensees they DO NOT accept AmpolCard. There are still Caltex branded sites in the Ampol network that do accept the AmpolCard, the branding on these will be changed to the Ampol brand progressively during the year with all sites rebranded by 31 December 2022.

We suggest your drivers confirm if they can use their AmpolCard at a Caltex branded site either before going to the site via the Ampol merchant locator, https://www.ampol.com.au/service-stations/find-a-service-station, or confirming on site before filling their vehicle. If an AmpolCard is used at a non-Ampol operated Caltex branded site payment will be declined and the card holder required to complete the transaction via another payment method (debit/credit card or cash).
